What happened: A storm that caused mass wasting such as floods and mudslides.
Where it happened: This happened in the Western North America area. It happened in places like California, Oregon, ect.
Why it happened: It was caused by three storms happening in less than a week.
Who it affected and how: It affected the people in these areas. It has "left the west coast in a soggy mess." It left vineyards under water. Some giant trees have fallen on top of cars, creating damage.
When it happened: The video was published December 9th 2012.
The estimated cost of damage: I will guess maybe the 100,000 because of all the cars that got a tree to crush them.

Most recent to last:

Intrusion 3 because it has nothing affecting it. It looks untouched, therefore it is the last thing to happen because it isn't old enough for it to be disturbed by anything.
Layer 1 It is the layer on the very top, only being affected by Intrusion 3. It is pretty new besides Intrusion 3.
Layer 6 This is right under 1, still being affected by Intrusion 3. This is the 3rd most recent thing to happen because only 2 things have affected it.
Fault A It seems to be affected by everything above it besides the Intrusion 3. Everything below it looks like it is side ways.
Fault B Fault A happened after this one because Fault A is on top of Fault B, and so are layers 1 and 6. It is cutting Intrusion 2 so it happened right after that.
Intrusion 2 This is affected by Intrusion 3, and is near the bottom, being covered by layer 1 and 6. It was split by Fault B as well. It is a little younger than layers 5 and 4 though, because it is "intruding" them.
Layer 5 This is being affected by everything but layer 4, so it is next to last.
Layer 4 This looks like one of the layers on the bottom. It is affected by everything, so it must have happened first, then started to get pushed and moved around.

After watching the slideshow, I think that scientist believe the Earth has been around longer than 6,000 years because: some land is completely on different levels than others. The Earth has very weird shapes and at one time it was probably even. If you look at old graveyards, the very old gravestones will be tilted and sideways, but when they were first put there, the land was level. So, even though the gravestone might be a little sideways after a few hundred years, that must mean that the canyons that are really steep and not even have been around longer than the gravestones, so more than a few hundred years. More like the billions for that much movement/difference of level. - Leisa
